Same-daycrowns,
one calm visit.

CEREC technology lets us design, mill, and place your custom porcelain crown during a single appointment — no temporary crown, no follow-up trip across town.

What it is

Clear, careful care — explained in plain words.

A CEREC crown is a custom-fit porcelain restoration made right here in our Sidney office. We take a quick digital scan instead of a goopy impression, design the crown on screen with you, and a small milling unit shapes it from a single block of dental porcelain. It's bonded into place the same day.

Who it's for
  • Patients with a cracked, broken, or heavily filled tooth
  • Anyone who would rather not return for a second visit
  • Busy parents and professionals who need to be back to work or school quickly
  • Patients who prefer metal-free, tooth-colored restorations
Benefits

Why patients choose this option.

One visit, start to finish

Most CEREC appointments wrap up in about two hours, including numbing and bonding.

Natural-looking porcelain

Shade-matched to your existing teeth so the result blends in, not stands out.

Strong, precise fit

Digitally designed for a tight, comfortable bite — no temporary that can shift or come loose.

Less time numb

One round of anesthetic instead of two appointments-worth.

Metal-free

All-ceramic restorations with no dark gum line over time.

Insurance friendly

Most plans cover CEREC crowns the same as traditional crowns — we file for you.

What to expect

No surprises — just a calm, clear plan.

  1. 01

    Quick exam and scan

A gentle exam, x-ray if needed, and a digital scan of the tooth — no putty trays.

  2. 02

    Design with you

We shape the crown on screen and confirm fit, color, and bite together before milling.

  3. 03

    Milled in office

The porcelain block is precision-milled while you relax — usually 15 to 20 minutes.

  4. 04

    Bonded and polished

We try it in, bond it permanently, and polish the bite. You leave with the final crown.

Question 1 of 2

Who is the visit for?

Comfort first

If dental work makes you anxious, tell us — we'll talk through every step, slow down when you need, and offer sedation options.

Common questions

Things patients often ask.

Does it hurt?

Most patients describe it as comparable to a large filling. We use topical numbing before any injection and check in often.

How long does a CEREC crown last?

With normal care, modern ceramic crowns can last well over a decade. Good brushing, flossing, and regular checkups make the biggest difference.

Will it look natural?

Yes — we match the shade to your surrounding teeth and shape it to your bite. Most people can't tell which tooth was crowned.
